Overview
The third form of a boarding school and the students of a neighboring school do not get along. Each side dreams up the craziest pranks to defeat the other. And when one day the high school students go as far as stealing the Gymnasium students’ essays and even burning them, daily school life really gets out of hand.

Six Swedish Girls in a Boarding School
Miss Klein runs a boarding-school. The girls that go there are really "free spirited." They chloroform a peeping Tom, lock two plumbers in the dormitories, strip for a gamekeeper and tease their gym teacher. In class, their biology teacher gets carried away while giving a demonstration of sex positions with the gym teacher. Erich Kästner’s beloved novel has been adapted for film or television six times since its publication in 1929; this 1935 British version was the first in English. Believed lost for decades, it was recently rediscovered by the BFI and has now been restored. The film moves the action from Berlin to London, where Emil goes to stay with his grandmother and cousin. Thereafter, the tale of Emil’s adventures with a gang of streetwise London children faithfully follows the original plot.
